VMEX decompiles source levels.

The download package here has different special versions in it should that site ever disappear. Newest official version.... 14th Oct 2007 - Version 0.98g for Episode 2 & TF2

Note: you have to install a special Java Development package to run this OS independent Java application, see here and select Java Platform (JDK) basic download to suit your operating system.

Usage.. Link to the Authors install guide

1. Download the VMEX package, stick it in a folder and unzip it.

2. Download and install the Java Platform (JDK)

3. Click on the vmex icon that has a Java symbol on it (executable Jar file)

4. A application with obvious controls will popup, browse to a .bsp file.

5. You may or may not see a window popup that tells you that it compiled but check the folder you set to save the decompiled VMF file it should rename the file with a "_d" on the end of it.

6. Open in Hammer to view.
