Thanks for downloading my first Custom DOD:S French Textures pack.
All these textures were originally made for DOD:S during the early stages of the making of dod_dijon,
and I didn't use all of them.

This should contain 20 different textures, free of use.

In the "paints" folder, 7 white painted texts to apply as overlays on walls:
"Les américains arrivent" -> The Americans are coming
"Mort aux collabos" -> Death to collaborators
"Défense d'afficher - Loi du 29 Juillet 1881" -> Public posting forbidden - Law of July 29th 1881
"De Gaulle pour la France" -> De Gaulle for France
"FFI" -> Usual French Interior Forces sign, usually hand painted on cars and other places.
"Pétain est un traître" -> Pétain is a traitor


In the "services" folder, three textures for a French grammar school
"Ecole élémentaire" -> Grammar school
"Garçons" -> Boys
"Filles" -> Girls
The set can be used on any building, with a separate entrance for boys and girls (as schools were not mixed)

In the "shops" folder, you'll find edits of an original Valve window texture.
the suffix "2" at the end of a file suggests the white painted text was included in the alpha channel (which handles transparency).
As such, the white text will appear older on those textures. For a brand new "unused" feel, use the other textures.

"Achats-Ventes" -> Buys-Sells. Used for any shop that is likely to buy and sell products from a customer
"Boucherie-Charcuterie" -> Butchery-porkbutchery
"Boulangerie" -> Bakery
"Cordonnerie-Mercerie - Reprises-Retouches-Semelles" -> Shoe-maker-Drapery - sewing-soles
"Cremerie" -> Cremery (Dairy products)
"Epicerie fine" -> Delicatessen (Deli)
"Fruits-Légumes - Produits frais" -> Fruits-Vegetables - Dairy products
"Barbier-Coiffeur" -> Barbershop-Hairdresser
"Livres anciens - Achats-Ventes" -> Old Books - Buys-sells
"Restaurant "Les Fines Herbes" -> Restaurant "The Sweet Herbs" (typical French restaurant name)
"Vins SPiritueux - Pinot Noir - Chardonnay - Cotes de Nuits" -> Wine & Spirits - Pinot Noir-Chardonnay-Cotes de Nuits
