"Monument aux morts" and fence - a French memorial to the dead of WWI.

This .rar contains 2 models: the monument - memorial - itself (monumentmorts.mdl), and a fence (monumentmorts_fence.mdl) that can be placed around it. Both models are prop_static and come with 2 skins: skin 0 is the default skin; skin 1 is the snow skin. The memorial has a normal map. Included are also objective icons depicting the memorial.

Additional notes: Between 1919 and the beginning of the 1930s, just about each of the 36,000 towns in France built a memorial to the fallen of WWI. The State contributed to their construction very sparingly, and for the most part, the cost was supported by the local community. There are many variations, but the main type of memorial built takes the shape of an obelisk, with varied inscriptions, sometimes patriotic (which is the case for this model), very rarely pacifist, along with the name of the dead from the community.

The inscriptions on the model, along with the names, read (and can be approximately translated to):
"Aux enfants du pays morts pour la France": to the country's sons who died for France.
"Gloria victoribus": glory to the victor.
"Pro patria": for the homeland.

The memorial is generally found in the town's main square, possibly near the church, the school, and the city council building. Sometimes they are in a small square in another part of the city, or in or near the cemetery. In some instances, there is a small fence or a chain placed around it. Today, they also include inscriptions to the memory of the fallen during WWII.
